Who we are:

onesixsigma.com was established as the only independent online information portal for the European Business Improvement professional in 2003. Since then we have grown to become the online hub for the Six Sigma and Lean community through innovation, diligence and a customer-centric approach to the changing needs and requirements of the industry. Focused on Europe, we remain autonomous, unbiased and are truly practitioner led.

What we do:

We provide value through high quality learning and networking resources for Lean and Six Sigma professionals in Europe.

We assist business leaders with a framework to expedite their improvement initiatives. We bring together like-minded leaders and Six Sigma and Lean professionals of all levels to exchange ideas, benchmark performance, and build frameworks for improving business transformation. Through both our online and offline services we provide a safe forum for understanding the huge diversity in the applications of methods and tools for process specialists, change agents, deployment leaders, executives & champions, consultants & training providers, and statisticians & academia.

We provide learning resources in the form of regular in-depth articles, white papers and case studies relevant to the business improvement industry. Additionally, we offer the latest news, a comprehensive Events Calendar, and are in the process of creating the first independant online Glossary of terms, tools and abbreviations which will be all-encompassing, organic and completely interactive, with real-life examples of application.

We promote the services and products of a selection of Six Sigma and Lean Service providers through Microsites: these are websites within our portal for organizations to host information and feed the online community with news, service and market information.

How we do it:

We listen to the needs of the Six Sigma and Lean professional. We recently upgraded our platform to be more interactive and user-friendly based on responses to an in-depth Voice of the Customer survey. This is the completion of phase one of an ongoing and collaborative project to build an autonomous, unbiased and customer-led online framework for learning and development.

We organise, administrate, market and manage small group meetings for business leaders and practitioners to advance their formal improvement initiatives in their companies through sharing best practice and exchanging ideas.

We encourage contributions of experience and learning from an unbiased collective of cross-industry members in order to provide a valuable knowledge-sharing and networking platform.

We build lasting partnerships with leading Six Sigma and Lean Consultants, Training Providers, Software Vendors, Research Centres, Quality Institutes, and Thought Leaders and develop communities of practice to harness knowledge and experience.

What you can do:

Contribute to the onesixsigma.com project: we are creating a comprehensive and independent online glossary of terms, tools and abbreviations used by Six Sigma and Lean practitioners, and are actively seeking real life applications and project case studies.

Join the Deployment and Integration Group and help to develop the framework benchmarking performance and sharing best practice.
