Focus on Innovation
This month on onesixsigma.com we will be taking a more in-depth look at the burgeoning area of Innovation. With the subject being the key topic at a meeting of world leaders recently - http://www.onesixsigma.com/node/7798 , the requirements for an organisation to innovate have never been more apparent, or as high on the strategic agenda.
In addition to publishing informative articles explaining innovative thinking, techniques and methods, we will be speaking to leaders in innovative practices, practitioners and organisations implementing innovation strategies, and reviewing a course on innovation tools for change agents, run by BMG.
Also coming up this month, we will be publishing case studies following Lean implementation in two very different environments: one in a manufacturing facility, the other in accounting. We will also be looking at Six Sigma in Small and Medium enterprises, how to successfully implement Balanced Scorecard in an organisation, and delving deeper into the hot topic of Supply Chain Management.
In April we will be holding our first User Group Meeting of the year in association with our new partners, i&i. The agenda for the meeting is still being fine-tuned, but it will focus on balanced scorecard, communities of practice, and Hoshin Kanri. As ever, numbers will be restricted to ensure high quality collaboration, and we already have a number of people who have expressed an interest in attending.
