Design for Six Sigma and Lean methods
I am currently interested in the links between Design for Six Sigma and Lean methods. I would like to develop something with Lean Design methods as a theme.
Is there anyone out there who has done work in this area?
"The Product Development Process as a Factory for Producing Ideas" is what I am thinking about.

I'm close to finish developing training material for DFSS and Lean Methods
to be applied to new product development.
If you are interested we can exchange ideas, share curriculum of the training and also some training material.
I'm working in Italy for IVECO (truck and bus division of Fiat Group), but
all the training material is in english, because I started working on
this subject in my former Company.

Thanks Philippe, I have not read this but will a soon as possible. I am sure there are some strong links between Lean processes and DFSS.

Have you read "The Perfect Engine" a best seller in the US ?
Lean and 6 sigma methodologies are complementary used by companies up to Design for LeanSigma technics that could fit your CTQ's.

I concur with the reading. There is also a good little book by John Bicheno entitled Cause and Effect Lean, which I have found useful. The steps are easy to understand and to translate to the design domain.
