Minitab and Crystal Ball Synergy for Multiple Response Optimisation

Lean and Six Sigma

Developing a new product or process oftens involves tradeoffs - improving one response might unfavorably impact another response. The situation becomes even more complicated when there are several factors or inputs and when the goal is finding the stochastic optimum - the optimum allowing for variability of the inputs.

Please join Eric Maass, Motorola's Director for SSPD / DFSS Methods and Technology, to see how Minitab and Crystal Ball can be used in combination to explore these tradeoffs and find the optimum in the presence of variability.

At the end of this one-hour Crystal Ball Web seminar, you will have learned:

The power of Minitab's RSM (Response Surface Modeling) capabilities for exploring the sensitivity and developing equations for responses as functions of factors; How Crystal Ball can be used to find the optimal Cpk or Z for one response, corresponding to the settings for the best yield for one response; How Minitab's Response Optimiser can be used to find settings for multiple Y's that meet all requirements; How Minitab's Response Optimiser settings can be used as initial settings in Crystal Ball's OptQuest, leading to finding the optimum settings allowing for variability in the input factors; How Crystal Ball's Sensitivity Analysis can suggest follow up efforts to further optimise composite Yield - yield to multiple responses; How the progress of the optimisation efforts can be reflected on Overlaid Contour Plots and Composite Cpk surfaces.
