Easier E-Learning access attracts more users with Quality Trainer by Minitab

You asked, and we listened. Thanks to changes we’ve made based on your feedback, more people than ever are benefiting from Quality Trainer, our e-learning service.

Quality Trainer’s interactive lessons walk you through real-world quality improvement scenarios and teach you both statistics and how to run analyses using Minitab Statistical Software.

“We recently changed our licensing options for this Web-based service because customers told us they wanted it tied with their Minitab licenses,” says Michelle Paret, Minitab product marketing manager.

“Now, Quality Trainer can simply be added to existing multi-user licenses of Minitab Statistical Software for a discounted fee, and all those in the organization who use Minitab can also use Quality Trainer. It’s a really easy, efficient, and cost-effective way to get the benefits of this service.”

Minitab license-holders have responded enthusiastically to the new option. The number of people using Quality Trainer has more than doubled in just the few months it has been available as a complement to Minitab Statistical Software.

In addition to the new license option, Minitab has also added new capabilities to the service. Organizations can now assign a Subscription Coordinator to monitor each user’s progress and quiz scores using Quality Trainer’s tracking feature. Users also receive a certificate of completion when they finish the entire Quality Trainer course.

Employers and trainers alike are finding Quality Trainer to be an invaluable aid in helping users acquire—and retain—knowledge of quality statistics.

“Quality Trainer by Minitab has been a great resource for teaching our employees the statistics they use in our Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma Training,” says Thomas Rust, a Six Sigma project manager in the automotive safety industry.

“It gives students the opportunity to learn statistics on their own time, allowing our instructors to focus on answering questions and mentoring projects. Also, the individual subscriptions let students review lessons they may miss and refresh their understanding of material when they need to apply it to future projects.”
