Built-in Support for Minitab Statistical Software

Minitab Help offers users a wealth of information, including an introduction to the Minitab environment and explanations of all the methods and graphs available. Each Help topic provides:

• In-depth information on the subject.
• Descriptions of the data you need for the command and step-by-step instructions on how to use it.
• Examples, with output and interpretation.
• Links to related topics, including methods and formulas.

Accessing Help is easy. You can open Help from the Help menu in Minitab's toolbar or directly from any dialogue box. Once you are in Help, you can find what you need by entering a topic in the search box or perusing the dynamic table of contents and index.

Help also contains a glossary which defines nearly 500 statistical terms, and is written in language that is easy to understand, even for people with little statistical experience.

StatGuide provides guidance for understanding Minitab's analyses and helps you interpret your own results by explaining Session window and Graph window output. StatGuide entries include:

• Clear examples of relevant concepts.
• Detailed descriptions of the important components of your output.
• Links to definitions and in-depth information.

The fastest way to access StatGuide during an analysis is to simply right-click on the session or graph window and choose StatGuide. You can also search topics in StatGuide by choosing Help > Search StatGuide.

StatGuide uses examples that are relevant to quality professionals, but that are also easy for people with little or no statistical background to understand.
