Denver, June 22, 2005 -
Decisioneering, Inc., an innovator of software and services for risk analysis and optimisation, today is pleased to announce the success of its second annual Crystal Ball User Conference. The event, held June 13-15 in Denver, attracted more than 145 attendees from 16 countries and a broad range of industries
The 2005 Crystal Ball User Conference offered attendees three days of case studies, best practices and technical sessions presented by Decisioneering customers and partners. Interactive sessions included speakers from Lockheed Martin, KeyBank, Alliance Data Systems, University of Tennessee, Seagate Technology, Petrobas Bolivia, Haley & Aldrich and the United States Department of Agriculture.
This year’s user conference gave us a great opportunity to connect with our customers, partners and resellers, said Jim Franklin, CEO of Decisioneering. The overwhelmingly positive feedback we received at the conference confirms that we continue to head in the right direction and stay at the forefront of the industry.
A hot topic of this year’s user conference was Extreme Speed with PSI Technology, one of several new features released in Crystal Ball 7.1 Professional and Premium Editions in March 2005. Extreme Speed was incorporated into many sessions and workshops and was also a frequent topic of conversation. Another highlight at the conference was the sneak peek of new features due to be released with the next version of Crystal Ball.
'Excellent conference, said Kevin King, enterprise risk manager, Imperial Irrigation District. The quality of the presentations and workshops as well as the diversity of the conference participants resulted in a unique learning experience. It would be difficult for someone to come away from the conference without a number of new ideas for expanding their use of Crystal Ball.
Other highlights of the conference included keynote addresses from Gerald Bush, Managing Director, Decision Strategies, Inc., and Jim Franklin, CEO, Decisioneering, Inc. Bush educated the audience on interpreting decision analysis, including topics such as product development and optimising value while incorporating risk and uncertainty. Franklin clearly outlined Decisioneering’s culture and its place in the rapidly changing world of technology. In his address, Franklin spoke of the past, present and future of Decisioneering and Crystal Ball.
