Celerant’s Process Excellence (PEX) is a comprehensive capability that combines best practices and experience from our history of process transformation delivery since 1993. PEX delivery combines the most successful elements of Lean, Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma, and Change Management.

Six Sigma

Celerant’s Six Sigma methodology is a highly successful problem solving approach that has delivered over one billion euros of hard benefit for our clients over the last 15 years.
Celerant consultants are very experienced and highly proficient in Six Sigma and related disciplines. But our approach goes way beyond ‘training’. Through Closework®, we develop a unique understanding of the issues around current client process.

Design for Six Sigma

Celerant’s Design for Six Sigma (DfSS) methodology is a truly transformational approach that helps organisations reach new heights of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. DfSS helps clients to effectively tune in to the Voice of the Customer and to design and implement new products, processes, and services that precisely meet those needs. Often delivered in combination with organisational change and significant process and product re-engineering, the results are truly transformational.
It’s this approach that gets clients the results they want because it increases efficiency, eliminates re-working and reduces cost.

Implementation

Celerant’s approach is always to apply the most appropriate process methodology in order to drive sustainable results. This is based on our belief that each client and problem is unique. As such our results driven approach will likely combine elements of all relevant concepts, methods, and tools in order to ensure rapid and lasting success.
In style, we describe our approach as “same side of the desk working”. That means no barriers between us, our clients, their people and the challenges they face. Celerant consultants work closely alongside client teams to build a fast and accurate picture of the real issues. Then they design a solution, drawing extensively on the expertise and experience of the client’s people. Finally, they commit to and deliver results.
It’s a way of working that we call Closework®. It lets us harness goodwill and connect it, through positively and permanently changed behaviour, to better practice and improved productivity. That way, results keep being delivered long after we have gone.

Change Management

Underpinning the structured approach to change is Celerant’s change management methodology called the ‘5 Box Model®’. This methodology was developed to achieve sustainable financial, operational and cultural results within organisations seeking radical improvements in performance.

By working collaboratively with an organisation, the ‘5 Box Model®’ methodology will help us and the client teams to understand how processes, systems and the human interfaces come together to deliver the sustainable improvements required. We use this methodology to understand, identify, develop and implement solutions aligned to the strategic objectives of the business.

Systems: With regards to Systems, Celerant will improve the management control and reporting systems currently operating in the client. These systems will be mapped, improved and (where necessary) re-installed with clear roles and responsibilities to ensure effective organisational management moving forward. Celerant has helped to successfully install effective management systems in more than 800 transformation programmes. We will also help to ensure that IT systems are aligned to the Operations Division’s processes as well as assist in the selection of IT systems vendors as required.

Processes: Celerant will seek to radically improve the processes currently existing within the client. We will deploy business process re-engineering methodologies to ensure that processes are more efficient, effective and sustainable.

People: Celerant will develop the client’s employees. We will seek to improve the way in which they currently operate in the organisation, by mapping and redesigning, where appropriate, the organisational structure to perform as effectively as possible. Crucial to this element of a Change Programme is the development, coaching and mentoring of client employees.
