Catalyst's Six Sigma Consulting Approach

Our approach can be simply summarised in three keywords:

• Assess
  For example, we can assess your entire organisation’s strengths and weaknesses using the EFQM Excellence Model as the basis. We can do this by carrying out an organisation wide Catalyst Healthcheck' or work with your management team using the Catalyst Business Excellence Self Assessment Tool (BEST) in a series of assessment workshops. We can also review your strategy in more detail and assist with the development of an effective balanced scorecard approach which is appropriate for your organisation. At a more detailed level we can carry out a series of process healthchecks to examine and quantify the opportunities for improvement in your operational activities. We find that most organisations are operating at a fraction of their true potential, with high levels of non-value adding activities and with huge potential for increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. Catalyst’s wide ranging experience means we can tackle a specific problem in a particular area, or assess your organisation as a whole.

  In our experience many organisations struggle with making self-assessment outcomes turn into tangible benefits. Development plans all too frequently fail to get implemented successfully. Our Partnership with the BQF and EFQM:

Catalyst Consulting was selected against strong competition as the Six Sigma advisor and provider of course material under license to the British Quality Foundation (BQF) as the basis for their own Six Sigma service.

Catalyst Consulting was also selected after a competitive tendering exercise by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) to provide a Successful implementation of Six Sigma workshop programme a series of 2-day workshops to identify and address the main issues associated with commencing and sustaining a successful Six Sigma programme that fit the needs of your organisation.

Catalyst People

At the heart of the Catalyst service is the experience of its people - practical, real world experience gained in management positions in a range of industries, including Telecommunications, Financial Services, and Information Technology. This experience has given the Catalyst team a wealth of know-how in performance improvement. All our consultants are experienced practitioners, we do not ‘delegate’ training to junior staff. For example, all our Directors are highly experienced, successful Six Sigma trainers and enjoy the training experience. Our style of delivery is focused very much on people values and this is strongly rooted in everyone who works at Catalyst. Catalyst people are in demand at conferences and speak regularly at the main specialist events held in the UK.

Client Relationship

Catalyst Consulting Ltd. aims to build a partnership relationship with each client. We have a wide range of materials available but we will always build a specific solution with our client, taking into account their needs, culture and operating constraints. It is our objective to transfer ‘ownership’ and skills to our clients’ own project teams/staff.
