Master Black Belts (MBBs) are the cornerstone of a successful Performance Excellence deployment, and the development of MBBs is a critical element if the initiative is to become self-sustaining
Becoming a MBB involves a great deal more than just learning advanced statistical analysis and problem solving techniques. It involves aquiring the skills to become a leader and drive change initiatives.
As an MBB candidate you are required to complete 4 advanced courses selected from a choice of 11, see below, these courses form the basis of the primary curriculum. By structuring the programme in this way BMGI gives you the flexibility to focus on key areas specific to your individual development needs.

In addition to completing the 4 advanced courses you are also required to:
- Complete 3 Black Belt or MBB-level Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Submit a paper to a periodical or deliver it at a public seminar.
- Achieve a 90% or higher exam grade on BMG's Black Belt examinations.
- Co-teach (4 to 20 hours, experience dependent).
- Nomination by individuals at different levels of your organization with specific experience with your work
MBB candidates must complete Black Belt certification prior to entering BMGs MBB programme.
This programme is challenging but will provide graduates with all the skills necessary to perform any of the 4 primary roles of teacher, coach, project worker and champion.
